Words to Avoid when Talking to Your.....

Words to Avoid when Talking to Your Prospects


You can recruit like a pro if you know how to approach your prospects.
Here are some words or phrases you should never use when prospecting.

Avoid: - I recently became involved. Instead use - I'm working on a project.
Replace- I'd like to get you involved, With - I'm looking for the right person.
Stay away from - Are you looking for a business opportunity? Try - Do you keep your eyes open for expansion or diversification?
Never say - I think you would love this. why not say - it may or may not be for you.
This is a no-no - You would be good at this. Yes - This might be lucrative for us.

Your prospets are not interested in your - New business opportunity. They might however be more interested in - Business idea or project.
Don't try to tell them how they feel by saying something like -
I think you will be interested? LET THEM MAKE THE DECISION - You might want to see this.

Here are some more phrases you should stay clear away from
No - I want you to:. Yes- You might want to:. or Yes You might benefit from:..
No - I want:.. Yes - I thought you might want to know:..
No - You should:: Yes - Is there any reason you would want::
No - You need:. Yes - I don't suppose you'd:.
No - What if I told you:. Yes - What if you knew:..
No - Come to a meeting. Yes - Meet some other members of the team.

Next time you get on the phone with a prospect try making decision to avoid these words and phrase and use the replacements. See what happens.

Write down your own script and practice it so you beome more comfortable with these words.
