How to meet people at parties.

While in Southampton, England last week, Big Al visited with Rachel Rogers. She had this tip on how to meet people at parties.

"When you arrive, go to the kitchen. Pick up a tray of nibbles (appetizers),
then go to each guest and offer them a nibble.
This gives you an excuse to meet them that is not so artificial.
And you will have a chance to meet everyone at the party."

How to make prospects remember your opportunity.

Occasionally, people will turn down the opportunity to join us in our business. That's okay. It may not be the right time for them.

They'll forget about our opportunity, unless we do something to constantly remind them.

Here is what you can do with one of your good prospects. Let's say that a friend of yours from work turns you down. He says,

"Oh, I don't know. I'm not sure it will work for me. I don't want to spend €200 to get started in your business."

Go to a department store and buy an inexpensive picture frame. It might cost you €2 or less. Then ask your friend to write out a €200 check - and then void it. Place the €200 check in the picture frame and ask your friend to hang the frame in his home, somewhere where he can see it. Tell your friend:

"By not joining my business, you'll save that €200. You can now invest that €200 in something else. Maybe you'll get lucky and hit a hot stock or even win the lottery. Let's see how well that €200 works for you over the next three months or six months. I'll check back with you in a few months."

Well, that €200 might have opened the door to hundreds of extra dollars a month in your business. However, your prospect made the decision to turn down your opportunity - for now. Every time your prospect looks at that picture frame, he'll think of you and your opportunity.

And that's what you want.

When the time is right for your prospect, you want your prospect to be thinking of you.
